The ever lovely `switchbladeserenade has offered to run the meet. If I remember things correctly, she's free on Sundays, so the possible days for this meet are:
Sept 14
Sept 21
Sept 28 (last day of the Chihuly exhibit)
I would lean towards the 21st or 28th, so that everyone's got enough time to pre-order their tickets, but which date is best for you guys?
---
There was an expressed interest in a devMeet in September, but no-one has yet contacted me saying they want to organize it or run the actual meet. However, I have an, omg!, art-related activity to propose for a September devMeet.
How would you guys like to go to the Chihuly exhibit at the de Young?
Dale Chihuly is a glass artist on a large scale and the work is absolutely stunning. You can see a bunch of his work on his website, chihuly.com (I suggest checking out the Persian installations).
More Information
Tickets are $15 (with a $1.75 charge per ticket for buying online) and the de Young recommends buying the tickets in advance. There's a group discount for groups of 15 or larger. Tickets to the Chihuly exhibit also include admission to the rest of the museum.
I am happy to organize this as long as I can get someone to run the meet.

Unfortunately, I'll be moving to Arcata to attend Humboldt State University for the Fall and Spring, so I won't be able to make any Bay Area dev meets during these seasons. : /
I wish everyone the best of luck in their endeavours, though. Take care!
